COVER SHOOT WITH MATILDA LUTZ
Built around both still and moving images, this editorial follows actress Matilda Lutz through a visual journey that reflects the nature of her craft, the ability to move between identities, characters and different versions of herself.
Rather than treating photography and film as separate outputs, I approached them as different chapters of the same story. The stills create individual moments and portraits across the editorial spread, while the film connects those fragments through movement, atmosphere and time.
The project sits naturally at the intersection of photography, directing and cinematography, disciplines I have always seen as different tools for the same purpose.
There are many ways to tell a story. What interests me is finding the medium, or combination of mediums—that allows that story to come alive.
