DESERT TALES

Four brands. Four episodes. One story.

Desert Tales began as an experiment in treating fashion not as product placement, but as character.

The four-part original series follows a surreal love story through the California desert, with each episode built around a different fashion house. Rather than creating four disconnected pieces of branded content, the clothing became part of a larger narrative world, allowing every brand to own an individual chapter while remaining connected to the complete story.

Each episode could live independently on the participating brand’s social channels, but together they formed one serialized narrative.

Looking back, the project anticipated much of what interests me today: social-first fiction, episodic branded entertainment and the idea that distribution can be designed into a story from the beginning.
